You need to choose a workspace. You can, for instance, make a corner your office. You might even have a room for an office. You need a quiet place. You also need to manage long hours there without quitting. If it helps, you can recreate how your former employment desk looked like.

You need to focus on your morning hours for maximum productivity. You will not be facing traffic each morning, but you need to use that. You need to see how a routine can work for you. You can start working right away, go to the gym, read the news, or so anything else to keep you focused. You will cope with the day better. Go for a routine that you will not have trouble sticking to.
You also need a structure for the rest of the day. You will know how to balance yourself if you took some time off. Breaks are great for recharging, but they need the discipline to get you focused on work. You need to know when to take them.

Remember to socialize. It is easy to forget this part. But be careful, as people might think you can be reached at will. Advise them on your available times, and schedule activities well in advance. Part of your structure should define your duties in the house, and have the knowledge and support of your spouse and kids.

You need to take time to look how far you’ve come, and where you need to change. With time, you will know what works best.
